Empowering Individuals With Special Needs And Their Families In Israel

Supporting Special Needs Lives, Building Community, and Fostering Belonging in the Heart of Israel.

    Our Mission & Vision

Providing A Messianic Framework of Care for Special Needs Adults in Israel

"Makom Balev brings profound compassion to the special needs community at the heart of Israel. We are more than an organization; we are a dedicated family of believers devoted to providing a Messianic framework of care and support for adults with special needs from faith-based families."

Our mission is about supporting the special needs community, ensuring that every individual and family member receives both spiritual and social support. Our unique approach involves organizing events, educating, and equipping local congregations to actively support and participate in the journey of believing families. Together, we foster hope and build a community where no family faces the challenges of special needs alone.

Building Foundations Of Care For Adults With Special Needs In Israel

Makom Balev ("A Place in the Heart") originates from the personal journey of Sasha and Lilian Granovsky, who were deeply moved by the joys and challenges of raising their daughter, Liel, who has special needs. Their experience shed light on a critical issue faced by countless parents in Israel: the abrupt cessation of government support for special needs individuals upon reaching age 21.

When special needs children turn 21, a new framework is needed for these families. While there are current secular or religious Jewish options, and some government support, they are insufficient and lack the spiritual heart we believe is God’s desire for His people. Makom Balev is the first Messianic organization to step into this gap. After conducting surveys, interviews and personal home visits, we have discovered the needs are great among the congregations in Israel.

Our journey recognizes the reality that the believing community in Israel often lacks awareness and resources to support special needs families. With a rising number of special needs children, we felt compelled to create a foundation of care. For Makom Balev, this is more than a mission; it's a calling from the Lord to make a meaningful impact. Our vision is to ensure that every person, regardless of ability, is valued as an essential and blessed part of the body of Yeshua.

Join us on this journey of compassion and transformation, where hope is renewed, stories are reshaped, and a supportive community ensures no family faces the challenges of special needs alone.

    How We Work

Our approach is rooted in three fundamental pillars that guide our mission and help to bring hope and support to adults with special needs and their families.

    Education & Engagement

Educate and engage the local community, equipping them to lovingly and effectively serve people with special needs and their families. Workshops and outreach initiatives foster understanding and inclusion.

Integration into the Body of Yeshua

Integrate individuals with special needs into the local body of Yeshua through conferences, camps, holiday activities, and ministry work. This not only enriches their lives but also spiritually strengthens our entire community.

    Establishing a Residential Center

Our vision includes establishing a nurturing home for adults with special needs, helping them transition to more independent living while providing a spiritually enriching environment.
